This grid-connected new construction home was built for low energy, with spray foam insulation throughout, LED Lighting & Energy efficient appliances. The design goal was to provide enough battery storage & solar panels to cover the most important loads during a long-duration outage while also covering at least half of the expected total home's load. 2 Sol-Ark 15 KW Inverters and 36 American-made solar panels support the 2 200amp breaker panels. 40 KW-hrs of Maintenance free, 10 Year Warranty Homegrid batteries and a 24 KW Propane backup generator gives the customer the ability to be "off-grid" for a very extended outage in the deepest of winter when solar production is lower.
